Vintage 1950's White and Rainbow Ribbon Dance Costume - Vtg 50's Circle Skirt and Blouse - Size Small

For sale is an AMAZING vintage 1950's white cotton voile blouse with matching white cotton sateen skirt. The set has rainbow ribbon details! The blouse is sheer with a 3/4 sleeve that has the ribbon detail. It buttons up the back and is loose at the waist meant to be tucked into the skirt. There is elastic at the cuffs. The skirt is so full and fun, it has a zipper at the center back. This skirt has been taken in on both sides (i haven't let it out for fear of making holes by taking out the stitch, the measurements given are WITH the alteration). For extra fullness add a crinoline like pictured, NOT included). Zips fine in the back, my mannequin is too big)
*I was told this belonged to a dancer's estate who was also in the Miss America pagent in the 50s or 60s.
Condition: Good for its age. The top has area that the weave is loosening (there are no holes but the fabric is very lightweight and sheer), there is also slight seam stress at bust darts because the top is so light. Does NOT affect stability though. The skirt has a few stains here or there but there are several bleed marks- all on the back bottom, see photo). I have not tried to clean so selling it AS IS). One small hole in skirt, see photo. All over very subtle yellowing due to age, again, have not cleaned. The set is still remarkable and priced accordingly. Its very wearable, just needs a little tlc!
